Specialized Support and Disability Services (SSDS)
SSDS Office Hours
Our office hours are 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday, during the fall and winter terms. The office will open and close earlier during the spring and summer terms, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. Our office will be closed from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm on these days, for the lunch break. Our Exam Office in CAB 215 will remain open during this time, if it is not announced otherwise.
A reminder to our students that if you are coming to the office to get a form, these forms are also available at the Exam Office in CAB 215 and they are also available online in our Documents and Forms section.
Guided by the mandate of the University ofAlberta’s official Policy for Students with Disabilities of "attracting and retaining qualified students with disabilities," Specialized Support and Disability Services (SSDS) promotes and coordinates the efforts of University departments and off-campus agencies in meeting students’ needs and provides services, which help to equalize educational opportunities for students.
SSDS serves prospective and current students at the University of Alberta, as well as staff and faculty, whose disabilities involve any number of conditions affecting mobility, vision, hearing, learning, and physical or mental health.
We invite visitors to this site to review the information provided describing our services. Specialized Support and Disability Services encourages others to quote, adapt or adopt our material, however, we ask that you cite our office and institution when doing so.
No matter how carefully snow and ice are removed from University of Alberta's property, you may encounter slippery surfaces during an Edmonton winter.
Be aware of the danger and take appropriate precautions, and remember you can report slippery conditions to the Facilities and Operations Customer Call Centre at 780-492-4833 or email email@example.com
